ISABEL MARTINEZ
Executive Producer - Founding Partner

I was born in Costa Rica but it was in the neighboring country, Nicaragua, where I had the opportunity to start a career as a cameraman, when I was only 20 years old, traveling through all of Central America. That experience drove me to deepen my knowledge of cinema. It was thus that I self-financed my film studies in Mexico in the CCC, (Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica), and also in the EICTV, (Escuela Internacional de Cine), in Cuba.

Shortly after, I moved to Brazil where I settled and founded TRÊS MUNDOS PRODUÇÕES with Vicente Ferraz. It was there where I achieved my dream of developing and making films in international co-production by launching my first production: The Feature film Documentary “SOY CUBA, O MAMUTE SIBERIANO” in 2005, which was a resounding success for a Brazilian documentary at that time; we premiered at IDFA (Netherlands) and SUNDANCE, we traveled to more than 30 international festivals, including Guadalajara (Mexico), Gramado (Brazil), and Valladolid (Spain); winning the award for Best Documentary Film in all three.

After that, I focused on making curatorships for many projects that would preserve the Latin American identities, thinking about innovative investments, which have allowed me to make possible, six feature films in international co-production with several countries. My most ambitious project has been A Estrada 47, in 2014, the first fiction film about the participation of Brazilian soldiers in World War II, which conquered distant markets, managing to be dubbed to English, Turkish and Japanese.

My job in cinema provides me with solid tools to develop audiovisual content of various genres aimed at the markets; advertising, culture, and entertainment.

I returned to Central America to broaden my horizons and drink from the expressive potential of the region. Betting on the production of new formats that accompany the technological changes in the audiovisual and its new forms of diffusion.

VICENTE FERRAZ
Director & Scriptwriter - Founding Partner

My relationship with cinema goes back a long way, when I was still a teenager, I bought a Super 8 camera and founded a film club in my neighborhood where I used to show different kinds of cinematographies, unknown to the general Brazilian public, including national films themselves.

Then, I studied journalism at PUC in Rio de Janeiro, until I found the opportunity to study cinema. This happened at the EICTV - International Film & Tv School - in Havana, Cuba.

That's where I was able to connect the two passions of my life: making movies and trying to change the world.

I became a cinematographer, but I got a job as a director and screenwriter. After a few shorts, I directed my first feature film: "Soy Cuba, The Siberian Mammoth" which took me to major festivals such as IDFA (Netherlands), SUNDANCE, and an unimaginable number of awards.

Then came the invitation to direct with six other directors, such as Wang Bing, Chantall Akerman, Apichatpong, and Pedro Costa to co-direct "O Estado do Mundo". With this film, I arrived at the Cannes Film Festival to be part of the Director's Fortnight.

Shortly following, I shot "A Estrada 47" (2014), a war film in Italy, with notable Brazilian actors, from Italy none other than Sergio Rubini and from Germany the extraordinary Richard Sammel. A big challenge because we filmed during a harsh winter in the Apennines, a complex production because narrating a story about the unknown participation of Brazilian soldiers in World War II was a great commitment to those unacknowledged heroes. That's how we won the award for best film at the Gramado Film Festival in Brazil. What makes me most satisfied is having reached many markets; France, Germany, UK, and more exotic ones like Japan, Turkey, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Finland, and more.

Nowadays, I dedicate myself to the documentary "A Cabeça do Cachorro", about the threatened universe of indigenous people in the Upper Amazon, which, in some way, is the continuation of other films I've made. I wanted, once again, to follow the characters' daily lives, their minimal apparent gestures, but which are found in an epic and universal context. It is the world of the forgotten, the oppressed, those who make history move forward and perhaps, for that very reason, suffer the greater injustices.

My fascination for the characters and the interaction with their social universes are the engine for directing and developing content that can be applied to all types of audiovisual formats.

ERNESTO fTELLERÍA
Cinematographer & Filmmaker - Partner

I am Spanish and was born in Bolivia.
After my main academic training, I started shooting commercials as a cinematographer, also founded two Production Companies (CINEBOX & EQUFILMS). After working in feature films as a Director of Photography, I became an Audiovisual Storyteller.
My archive consists of hundreds of commercials, many documentaries, and feature films. Some of them received several awards.
I have focused my strengths, primarily, on the national market in Bolivia handing out to the emergence of audiovisual jobs in a country in need of a visual identity that allows that great nation to project its culture through the image in movement. That dedicated job made me feel very proud.
My work afforded me to interact in many markets around the Americas. This experience allowed me to enrich myself both as a professional as well as a human being.
As my range of work demonstrates, I’m interested in all genres. A good professional needs to have the ability to be enthusiastic about everything and always look for new ideas to undertake, being in with the latest trends and constantly diversifying, not only advertising, but also in technology, and above all, cinema.
I have lately worked producing our first immersive experience in Virtual Reality, undoubtedly an innovative format, which broadens the spectrum of possibilities in the pursuit of new narrative forms.

In current times, all image professionals must bear in mind that reality can force us to respond to different economic, circumstantial, technological situations. We must offer the best alternatives with the greatest possible creativity.
